What is it about plumeria? I totally fell in love with this flower and the beautiful tree it grows on. Just looking at this painting, I can feel the islands again: the sand under my feet, the blue water, the luscious smell of honey. The plumeria petals are done in sweeping brushwork alive with sunshine and tropical luxury.
