About this Artwork
The bright red of Indian Paintbrush never ceases to dazzle. This scene is inspired from an exposed rocky slope in the Marble Mountain Wilderness in Northern California. I used impasto brushwork and a palette of sun-soaked forest colors to translate this bit of the high country onto canvas.
