Trees laced with ropy vines stretch into the diamond-studded indigo night. This scene, painted from memory, is a memorial to a magical full-moon night spent outdoors in the Amazon jungle near Pucallpa, Peru. Blending impressionism and abstraction, I relied on a palette of deep blues to transport me again into the velvety ocean of sky.
